Ending the HIV Epidemic Subcommittee

Charge

Provide advice on the development of the EHE in U.S. initiative and the National HIV/AIDS Strategy to ensure goals are achieved and communities and jurisdictions most affected are prioritized.  This includes ensuring that there is proper community input (including people living with HIV), utilizing the best available science, addressing all societal factors (including stigma), encouraging collaboration between federal and local agencies, and monitoring implementation (including data collection and accountability).

Stigma and Disparities Subcommittee

Charge

Provide advice on reducing HIV-related stigma (internalized, external, community, and structural) and disparities, including addressing social determinants of health, fully engaging and reaching key populations (“nothing for us without us”), and reducing inequities including economic, health, and structural.

Global Subcommittee

Aging with HIV, Long-Term & Lifetime Survivors Subcommittee

Charge

Provide advice on enhancing the federal response to medical, social, and mental health needs of people aging with HIV, including long-term and lifetime survivors. Provide recommendations for increasing access to and improving comprehensive and integrated health care, funding HIV and aging research, support and social services, benefits, and resources that promote the health and well-being of people aging with HIV.
